This is an excellent opportunity to play a leading role in extending the visibility of the Maxi Owners Association & to be part of the M-O-A Committee.  Some indication of the tasks are outlined below but please email or phone Rod or Chris (details on "Your Committee" page in Members_only Area) for further discussions.  Good support will be available from other Committee Members, together with full production support for getting each issue into print.

bulletInitial format is envisaged as a folded A2 sheet (similar to a tabloid newspaper - i.e. 4 x A3 sides, equivalent in area to eight double sided A4 sheets) produced twice a year, with strong emphasis on some brilliant photos.
bulletSources of content will be mainly short articles and photographs from existing members, including some technical material and reports of social events.

The Editor will need to...

bullet... organize, sort and select suitable text & photographic material, having the objectives of the M-O-A in mind.
bullet... précis & summarise articles/stories/technical items etc., plus generate captions for pictures etc.
bullet... spell check and agree final drafts with authors before publication
bullet... liaise with a professional layout artist/designer (Rod) on space allocation/placement and final proofing.
bullet... have a basic awareness of possible legal or other sensitivities arising from subject matter, and be prepared to seek guidance from other members of the M-O-A Committee or other sources in cases of doubt.

Support in the form of sub-editors (e.g. technical accuracy, photo editing, abridging) will be available through various members.
