Diesel Fuel in Bilges? – Maxi 38+ Corsair

Maxi 130 Ketch Propeller

Does anyone know the pitch of the original propeller for my Maxi 130, a 13M ketch registered in 1982?   I know its a left hand 17", but I don't know the pitch.  She has the original Volvo MD21 engine still fitted.

Engine Raw-Sea-Water Strainer

"On my Maxi 95 #719,  I have noticed that there is no filter on the seawater inlet for the engine cooling (Volvo Penta MD2B). I assume it has survived like this since its original fitting, but I think it might be a good idea to fit one. Does anyone have suggestions for a suitable filter (Vetus ?) and a good placement position (difficult to fit in the bilge so possibly a bracket somewhere up on the engine ?).

Maxi 1000 Dorade Vent Guards

I have caught the Dorade Vents on my Maxi 1000 with the genoa sheets a few times, once pulling one right off.  So I am now resolved to fitting some stainless guards.  Has anybody fitted guards and can recommend where to buy them from?  Maxi Sweden do some round ones, at a price, but I fancy some squarer ones like those you see on Najads.

Maxi 1000  -  Have you installed a Windlass?

Has anyone had experience of fitting a WINDLASS to a Maxi 1000. If so please contact me with a quick description of your solution and experiences.
